Fellowships to be granted in clinical rheumatology--candidates,how approved--amount.
192.718. 1. Beginning upon receipt of appropriations forthat purpose and subject to the availability of appropriations,but not before October 1, 1984, each year the board may grantthree one-year, state-supported clinical rheumatology fellowshipswhich might include four to six months of a community-basedexperience in one or more of the regional arthritis centers andsix to eight months at an academic institution in this statewhich is willing and qualified to train rheumatology fellows.
2. A candidate for a fellowship granted pursuant to thissection shall be approved by the director, the board, theacademic institution, and the regional arthritis center director.
3. Each fellowship granted pursuant to this section shallconsist of an appropriate stipend and either adequate housing ora housing allowance in an amount to be determined by the board.
