Duty of librarian--secretary of state to deliver certain booksand reports.

180.040. The librarian shall have the custody, charge andsafekeeping of all maps, charts and other things of every kindwhatsoever, property belonging to the library, and shall takespecial care that none of them be lost or injured; and he shallcause the seal of the supreme court to be stamped on the outsideof each volume. The secretary of state shall deliver to thelibrarian, as soon as received by him, one copy of the followingbooks, viz.: The acts of each session of congress, acts of theseveral states and territories, the journals of the generalassembly of this state, the journals of the general assemblies ofthe several states and territories, also one copy of the journalsof each house of congress, and of all books, reports, statepapers and documents ordered by congress or either house thereofto be distributed among the states, also, five copies of the actsof the general assembly of this state, which the librarian shallcause to be bound, if the same be not already done, and placed inthe library.
