Grants for acquisition of computer and telecommunications technologyequipment--limitation.
170.254. 1. From moneys appropriated for this purpose fromthe fund established by section 160.500, RSMo, by rule andregulation, the state board of education shall make grants toschool districts for the acquisition of computers, datatransmission lines, networking hardware and software, science andmathematics laboratory equipment, and such other equipment topromote the use of computers and telecommunications technology.In determining the criteria and procedures for grants authorizedby this section, the state board of education shall consider theadvice and counsel provided by the advisory committee establishedpursuant to subsection 4 of section 170.250.
2. In no case shall the grants authorized by this sectionexceed five million dollars in any fiscal year.
