Missouri award of recognition for student athletes, how chosen,qualifications.
160.350. There is hereby established a "Missouri Award ofRecognition" which may be presented to any student athlete who isattending any elementary school, high school, university orcollege located in Missouri, or to any team of athletes as awhole whose members meet the requirements of this section. Suchaward may be presented to the eligible student athlete orathletes by the governor, any member of the general assembly, orthe general assembly, the house of representatives or the senate,as a whole. In order to be eligible for the award, the studentathlete or athletes shall be sponsored by the governor, or by oneor more members of the general assembly, who shall state thatsuch student athlete or athletes have accomplished an outstandingachievement in their athletic field. A resolution or recognitionceremony relating to such athletic achievement shall be deemedthe equivalent of this award.
