Certain public employees may join labor organizations and bargaincollectively--exceptions--discharge or discrimination for exerciseof right prohibited--allowable organizations for excepted employees.
105.510. Employees, except police, deputy sheriffs, Missouristate highway patrolmen, Missouri national guard, all teachers ofall Missouri schools, colleges and universities, of any publicbody shall have the right to form and join labor organizationsand to present proposals to any public body relative to salariesand other conditions of employment through the representative oftheir own choosing. No such employee shall be discharged ordiscriminated against because of his exercise of such right, norshall any person or group of persons, directly or indirectly, byintimidation or coercion, compel or attempt to compel any suchemployee to join or refrain from joining a labor organization,except that the above excepted employees have the right to formbenevolent, social, or fraternal associations. Membership insuch associations may not be restricted on the basis of race,creed, color, religion or ancestry.
