103.079. The health care programs sponsored by the departments oftransportation and conservation shall become a part of this plan only uponrequest to and acceptance by the board of trustees by the highwaysand transportation commission or the conservation commission and any suchtransfer into this plan shall be deemed reviewable by such departmentevery three years. Such department may withdraw from the plan uponapproval by such department's commission and by providing the board aminimum of six months' notice prior to the end of the then current planyear and termination of coverage will become effective at the end of thethen current plan year. For any of the foregoing state agencies choosingto participate, the plan shall not assume responsibility for anyliabilities incurred by the agency or its eligible employees, retirees,or dependents prior to its effective date.
