99.210. In addition to the powers conferred upon anauthority by other provisions of sections 99.010 to 99.230, anauthority is empowered to borrow money or accept contributions,grants or other financial assistance from the federal governmentfor or in aid of any housing project within its area ofoperation, to take over or lease or manage any housing project orundertaking constructed or owned by the federal government, andto these ends, to comply with such conditions and enter into suchmortgages, trust indentures, leases or agreements as may benecessary, convenient or desirable. It is the purpose and intentof this chapter to authorize every authority to do any and allthings necessary or desirable to secure the financial aid orcooperation of the federal government in the undertaking,construction, maintenance or operation of any housing project bysuch authority.
