Accumulated contributions refunded, when.
86.290. Should a member cease to be a policeman except by death oractual retirement, the member may request payment of the amount of theaccumulated contributions standing to the credit of the member's individualaccount, including members' interest, in which event such amount shall bepaid to the member not later than one year after the member ceases to be apoliceman. If the former member is reemployed as a policeman before anyportion of such former member's accumulated contributions is distributed,no distribution shall be made. If the former member is reemployed as apoliceman after a portion of the former member's accumulated contributionsis distributed, the amount remaining shall also be distributed.
