Misdemeanor in office, penalty.
79.360. Any member of the board of aldermen or officer ofthe city who shall, in official capacity, or under color of hisoffice, knowingly or willfully or corruptly vote or assent to, orreport in favor of or allow or certify for allowance, any claimor demand against the city, which claim or demand shall be onaccount of or under color of a contract or agreement notauthorized by law and the ordinances of the city, shall be deemedguilty of a misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof, bepunished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than oneyear or by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or by bothsuch fine and imprisonment.
