Notice to election authority and governing body of county--map settingout boundaries to be posted in polling places, when.
71.880. Whenever any city, town, or village located in afirst class chartered county which has a population of at leastfive hundred thousand desires to annex any unincorporated land ofthe county, the governing body of the city, town, or villageshall, before proceeding as otherwise provided by law, certify anotice of such fact to the election authority and to thegoverning body of the first class charter county, which noticeshall include:
(1) The description by metes and bounds of theunincorporated territory sought to be annexed and a map of thearea to be annexed and of the incorporated area, such map to be asize large enough to accurately and adequately denote theboundaries of the area to be annexed and the incorporated area,but not less than eight inches by ten inches in size, and to beclearly displayed to voters in each polling place where theannexation question is on the ballot; and
(2) A copy of the order, resolution or ordinance whichcontains the legislative act of the municipality ordering thesubmission of the question.
