Parking facilities for motor vehicles, certain cities.
71.350. Any incorporated city or town in this state of notmore than seven hundred thousand and not less than one thousandpopulation, and any county in this state having a constitutionalcharter, may rent, lease and improve property, or acquireproperty by gift, purchase, exchange, or by the exercise of thepower of eminent domain over unimproved property in the mannerprovided by law for the condemnation of land for street or roadpurposes in such municipality or county, except that nothingherein is construed to limit the right to the use of eminentdomain in connection with improved property used for or devotedto commercial purposes; and may construct, install or equipbuildings and facilities thereon for parking motor vehicles; andmay own, manage, use or operate property and facilities thereonfor parking motor vehicles, and make or authorize the making of acharge for the use of property and facilities for such purposes,except that the municipality or county shall not dispense orfurnish or allow any lessee or occupant to dispense or furnish,upon or in connection with any property or facility acquired oroperated pursuant to this section any product or service otherthan the parking of motor vehicles.
