Contempt, authority of military court--penalties.
40.155. 1. A military court may punish for contempt anyperson subject to sections 40.005 to 40.490 who uses any menacingword, sign, or gesture in its presence, or who disturbs itsproceedings by any riot or disorder. Such punishment may notexceed confinement for thirty days or a fine of one hundreddollars, or both.
2. Any person other than a member of the national guard whoshall resort to disorderly, contemptuous or insolent behavior in,or use any insulting or indecorous language or expressions to orbefore, any military court, or any member of either of suchcourts, in open court, to interrupt the proceedings or to impairthe authority of such courts, shall be guilty of a class Cmisdemeanor and may be arrested by the order of the president ofthe court, and at once delivered to the civil authorities forprosecution as provided in subsection 2 of section 40.153.
