Federal assistance, acceptance by state agency prior to submission ofits application to house and senate committees--exceptions.
33.812. 1. Prior to the acceptance of any new financialassistance or grants from the federal government, or agencythereof, by or on behalf of the state agency thereof, a copy ofsuch application shall be submitted to the members of the budgetcommittee of the house of representatives, the members of theappropriations committee of the senate and the office ofadministration unless notification of the new assistance or grantwas provided through the agency's budget request.
2. The provisions of subsection 1 of this section shall notapply to publicly supported two- and four-year institutions ofhigher education unless the federal grant or assistance requiresthe state to appropriate state funds as a condition that must bemet for expenditure of the federal grant or assistance.
