May 8, Truman Day.

9.035. The governor shall issue annually a proclamationsetting apart the eighth day of May as "Truman Day" andrecommending to the people of the state that the day beappropriately observed in honor of and out of respect for Harry STruman, the thirty-third president of the United States, adistinguished public servant and the only Missourian ever to beelected to this high office.
