§ 85-7-37. Affidavit.
"State of Mississippi, ________ County
"Before me, ________, a justice of the peace of the said county, ________ makes oath that he was employed by ________ during the year A. D. ________, as a laborer, and as such, and under his employment, assisted to make a crop of cotton and corn, which yielded ________ bales of cotton and ________ bushels of corn, which are now in the possession of ________, and the same is at ________, in said county; and that affiant is, by his contract and services, entitled to one-half of said cotton and corn, the same being of the value of ________ dollars, which the said ________ withholds from him [or whatever may be the claim]. Affiant claims a lien on all of said cotton and corn for the recovery of his share or interest therein, and that ________ and ________ claim a like lien thereon. Affiant prays process according to law.
