§ 51-15-115. Election.
Such election shall be held, as far as is practicable, in the same manner as other elections are held in counties. At such election, all qualified electors of such counties may vote and the ballots used at such election shall have printed thereon the words "FOR BEING INCLUDED IN THE PAT HARRISON WATERWAY DISTRICT" and "AGAINST BEING INCLUDED IN THE PAT HARRISON WATERWAY DISTRICT" and the voter shall vote by placing a cross (x) or check ( Ö) mark opposite his choice on the proposition. In any particular county, should a majority of the qualified electors voting in such election in said county vote in favor of the creation of the Pat Harrison Waterway District, then that county shall become a part of the waterway district. The chancery court of Forrest County or the chancellor thereof in vacation shall thereupon enter a final order including such county in the district. In any particular county, should a majority of the qualified electors voting in such election in such county vote against being included in the Pat Harrison Waterway District, then that county shall not become a part of the waterway district and the said decree shall be modified accordingly.
