§ 19-5-61. Promotion of excellence in raising crops and livestock; judges.
 

The board of supervisors shall, after having announced premiums, select a competent committee or judges to measure the land, to test the crop and pass upon the merits of the exhibits and entries. The members of said committee shall not be related to the contestant in any manner, and the members shall have their report ready for the date of meeting at the county seat in the fall on the date named for exhibit and competition by the said board of supervisors. Members of said committee shall receive compensation as determined upon by the board of supervisors, not to exceed three dollars per day, while actually employed in the work.
