333.6236 License; comments by local advisory council on substance abuse; basis of issuing or denying license; explanation of decision contrary to recommendations.
Sec. 6236.
The local advisory council on substance abuse shall provide an opportunity for individuals in the applicant's service delivery area to comment before the issuance of a license to the applicant. The comments shall be included in the coordinating agency's comments to the office. However, the administrator shall make the decision to issue or deny a license based on the applicant's ability to comply with the requirements of this article and rules promulgated under this article. If the administrative decision on licensing is contrary to the local coordinating agency's recommendations, the administrator shall describe those reasons in writing to the local coordinating agency at the time the decision is rendered.
