Section 1 Petition for probate; affidavit of knowledge and belief; certified copy of death certificate

Section 1. A petition for the probate of a will, letters of administration or letters testamentary shall have annexed an affidavit of the petitioner or of one of the petitioners that the statements therein made are true to the best of his knowledge and belief and shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the decedent’s death certificate issued by a public officer; provided, however, that in the case of a petition filed by a public administrator or special administrator, the copy of the death certificate shall not be required until thirty days after the appointment of either the public administrator or special administrator.
