Section 163 Notice to kill dog which has caused damage

Section 163. If the aldermen or selectmen determine, after notice to parties interested and a hearing, who is the owner or keeper of any dog which is found to have worried, maimed or killed any live stock or fowls, thereby causing damages for which their owner may become entitled to compensation from the dog fund under section one hundred and sixty-one, they shall serve upon the owner or keeper of such dog a notice directing him within twenty-four hours to kill or confine the dog.
