Section 2-1101 - Duties of presiding officers.

§ 2-1101. Duties of presiding officers.
 

(a)  In general.- When the General Assembly is not in session, any decision that relates to or affects a member of a committee of the General Assembly shall be made: 

(1) as to a Senate member, by the President; and 

(2) as to a House member, by the Speaker. 

(b)  Specific duties.- The responsibilities of the President and the Speaker under this section include: 

(1) appointing members of committees; 

(2) appointing officers of committees; and 

(3) setting the dates, times, and places for committee meetings.
