§ 4-207. Director.
 

(a)  Appointment.- With the approval of the Governor, the Secretary shall appoint the Director. 

(b)  Term.- The Director serves at the pleasure of the Secretary. 

(c)  Status.- The position of Director is in the executive service or management service of the State Personnel Management System. 

(d)  Duties.- The Director shall operate and exercise the powers of the Administration under the direction of the Secretary and in accordance with this subtitle. 

(e)  Compensation.- The Director is entitled to: 

(1) compensation as provided in the State budget; and 

(2) reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations as provided in the State budget. 

(f)  Staff.- The Director shall have a staff and professional consultants as provided in the State budget.
