§ 9-253. Secretary designated as State water pollution control agency.
 

(a)  In general.- For purposes of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, the Secretary is the State water pollution control agency in this State. 

(b)  Granting of powers to Secretary.- The Secretary has all powers that are necessary to comply with and represent this State under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. 

(c)  Other units of State government prohibited from exercising powers.- Another unit of the State government may not exercise any power given to the Secretary under this section.
