§ 8-301. Definitions.
(a) In general.- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) Blind child.- "Blind child" means a child 6 years old or older and under 19 who has a visual impairment and because of that impairment cannot progress satisfactorily in an ordinary public or private school.
(c) Deaf child.- "Deaf child" means a child 6 years old or older and under 19 who has a hearing impairment and because of that impairment cannot progress satisfactorily in an ordinary public or private school.
