The purpose of this chapter is to identify victims of domestic violence, abuse, or neglect <br>inflicted by a spouse, and to provide for the protection of adults who choose to access <br>those services. A victim of domestic violence who has a mental or physical disability or <br>who cannot carry out the activities of daily living or protect himself or herself without the <br>assistance of others may be served under the provisions of KRS Chapter 209.
