206.090 Funeral expenses -- Distribution of pension upon death of pensioner.

judge/executive of the county where the pensioner resided at the time of his death.
The funeral and burial expenses paid by the state shall not exceed one hundred
dollars ($100) in each case. (2) The cabinet shall before the next succeeding date for the payment of pensions, furnish to the administrator a voucher for the amount due the pensioner at the time
of his death, which shall be filled out and returned to the cabinet together with a
properly verified claim of the undertaker for the funeral and burial expenses of the
pensioner, approved by the county judge/executive of the county in which the
pensioner resided, died or was buried, all of which shall be filed with the cabinet,
and the cabinet shall issue its warrant to the administrator for the unpaid portion of
the pension, and a warrant to the claimant for the funeral and burial expenses. Upon
proper and satisfactory proof of the fact, the warrant for funeral and burial expenses
may be issued to anyone paying such expenses. (3) The administrator shall distribute the pension money to the persons legally entitled thereto. Effective: October 1, 1942
