190.080 Previous consumer-owner information provided upon request -- Notice to be affixed.

personal, family, household, or business purposes, but shall not mean an owner who
possessed the vehicle primarily for resale purposes. (2) It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle dealer or motor vehicle salesperson to refuse to furnish, upon request of a prospective purchaser, the name, address, and
telephone number, if known or available, of the previous consumer-owner of any
used car offered for sale. (3) It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle dealer or motor vehicle salesperson to sell or offer to sell to a consumer a used car which does not have affixed to its
windshield, when the car is first offered for sale, in a conspicuous manner in at least
ten-point, boldface type, the following notice: "NOTICE: KENTUCKY LAW
REQUIRES THAT, IF REQUESTED, WE SHALL FURNISH YOU WITH THE
NAME, ADDRESS, AND TELEPHONE NUMBER, IF AVAILABLE, OF THE
PREVIOUS CONSUMER-OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. (KRS 190.080)". (4) It shall be unlawful for any person to transfer a motor vehicle in order to avoid compliance with this section. History: Amended 1976 Ky.
