156.154 Information respecting established price contract agreements -- Purchase conditions of district boards. The chief state school officer shall make available to all district boards of education full <br>information respecting established price contract agreements, and any or all districts may <br>procure buses from sources and at prices, terms, and conditions incorporated in the price <br>contract agreements. Any district board of education may take its own bids on school <br>buses which meet the specifications of the Kentucky Board of Education for school buses <br>for which price contracts have been established, provided the chief state school officer <br>approves the bids and purchase contract as meeting specifications of the Kentucky Board <br>of Education. However, no district board of education shall purchase school buses under <br>the terms of this section unless the chief state school officer shall certify that the purchase <br>price is lower than prices set forth in established price contract agreements for similar <br>equipment.
