The urban-county government and the labor organization that has been designated as the <br>exclusive representative of police officers, firefighter personnel, firefighters, or <br>corrections personnel in an appropriate unit, through appropriate officials or their <br>representatives, shall have the authority and the duty to bargain collectively.
