67.0831 Fiscal courts to provide facilities to hold children.
(1) The fiscal court of each county shall provide for a suitable facility or facilities for
the custody and care of children held in custody pending disposition of their cases <br>by the district court, and may employ necessary personnel for the operation thereof.
(2) The fiscal court or urban-county council shall maintain a secure juvenile detention
facility or a juvenile holding facility, either through contract with another public <br>agency or with a private organization or agency, or by acquiring and operating the <br>secure juvenile detention facility or juvenile holding facility as a county institution.
(3) Each child detained in a secure juvenile detention facility or a juvenile holding
facility shall be deemed to be under the jurisdiction of the district court before <br>which his case is pending.
