65.7641 Illegal use of wireless emergency telephone service -- Penalties.

solely for the purpose of communications by the public in emergency situations. Any
person who knowingly uses or attempts to use wireless emergency telephone service for a
purpose other than obtaining public safety assistance or who knowingly uses or attempts
to use wireless emergency telephone service in an effort to avoid any CMRS charges shall
be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. If the value of the wireless emergency telephone
service obtained in a manner prohibited by this section or the value of the CMRS charges
exceeds one hundred dollars ($100), the offense may be prosecuted as a Class D felony. Effective: July 15, 1998
