9-1708. Penalty for refusal to be examined. Whenever any officer of any bank or trust company shall refuse to submit the books, records, papers and instruments of such bank or trust company to the examination and inspection of the commissioner, or any of the commissioner's assistants or examiners, or in any manner obstruct or interfere with the examination and investigation of such bank or trust company, or refuse to be examined on oath concerning any of the affairs of such bank or trust company, the commissioner may revoke the authority of such bank or trust company to transact business, and with the concurrence of the attorney general may institute proceedings for the appointment of a receiver for such bank or trust company.
