      72-8190.   U.S.D. 203; application of term "assessed valuation per pupil"for determination of certain state aid entitlements.(a) For the purpose of determination of supplemental generalstateaid under K.S.A. 72-6434, and amendments thereto, and payments from the schooldistrict capital improvements fund under K.S.A. 75-2319, andamendments thereto, notwithstanding any provision of either such statutorysection to the contrary, the term assessed valuation per pupil, as applied tounified school district No. 203, Wyandotte county, shall not include within itsmeaning the assessed valuation of property which is owned by Sunflower Racing,Inc. and operated as a racetrack facility known as the Woodlands. The meaningof assessed valuation per pupil as provided in this subsection, for thepurposesspecified in this subsection, and as applied to the unified school districtdesignated in this subsection, shall be in force and effect for the 1994-95 and1995-96 school years.

      (b) (1)   In the event unified school district No. 203, Wyandotte county,receives in any school year the proceeds from any taxes which may be paid uponthe Woodlands for the 1994-95 school year or the 1995-96 school year or forboth such school years, the state board of education shall deduct an amountequal to the amount of such tax proceeds from future payments of state aid towhich the district is entitled.

      (2)   For the purposes of this subsection, the term "state aid" meanssupplemental general state aid and payments from the school district capitalimprovements fund.
