72-1122. Instruction in Braille; definitions.As used in this section:
(a) "Blind persons" means individuals who:
(1) Have a visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye withconventional correction, or have a limited field of vision such thatthe widest diameter of the visual field subtends an angular distance notgreater than 20°;
(2) have a reasonable expectation of visual deterioration; or
(3) cannot read printed material at a competitive rate of speed and withfacility due to lack of visual acuity.
(b) "Braille" means the system of reading and writing through touchcommonly known as standard English Braille.
(c) "Student" means any student who is blind or any student eligible forspecial education services for visually impaired as defined in public law94-142.
