68-110. Compensation of commissioners; viewers, chainmen, flagmenand markers; payment of costs and expenses.All persons required to render services under chapter 68 of the KansasStatutes Annotated, and acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto,shall receive compensation for each day they shall necessarily beemployed, as follows, to wit: On the part of the board of countycommissioners while acting as viewers, the usual salary as a countycommissioner and their actual expense in going to and returning fromsuch view. Viewers, other than members of the board of countycommissioners, chain carriers, flagmen, markers, and such other labor asmay be necessary, shall receive the usual prevailing wages for suchemployees, as determined by the board of county commissioners. Thepayment of said services shall be charged as costs and expenses, andpaid as other costs and expenses, on the order of the commissioners:Provided, That the surveyor shall be paid for his services in themanner prescribed by law.
