66-2102. Rural gas user, not public utility;notification to existing gas service utility.Any rural gas user who desires to constructs its ownpipeline connection toa gas supply system, and any gas provider assisting the rural gas user, shallnot be considered a public utility. If the rural gas service is provided withinan area where a public utility holds a certificate, the rural gas user or therural gas user's gas provider shall first notify the existing gas serviceutility of their intent to provide rural gas service. If the publicutility holding the certificated area is not an existing gas service utility,then the existence of such public utility and its certificate will not in anyway limit the rural gas user or the rural gas user's provider in establishingand maintaining the rural gas service provided for by this act.
