Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 65.--SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS AND AUDIOLOGISTS

      65-6503.   Duties of secretary of health and environment.The secretary shall:

      (a)   Issue to each person who has met the education and training requirementslisted in K.S.A. 65-6505 and amendments thereto and such otherreasonablequalifications as may be established by rules and regulations promulgated bythe secretary, the appropriate license as a speech-language pathologist oraudiologist;

      (b)   establish by rules and regulations the methods and procedures forexamination ofcandidates for licensure;

      (c)   appoint employees necessary to administer this act and fix theircompensation within the limits of appropriations made for that purpose;

      (d)   keep a record of the board's proceedings and a register of allapplicants for and recipients of licenses; and

      (e)   make all such reasonable rules and regulations as deemed necessary tocarry out and enforce the provisions of this act.
