65-1,121. Medication aides; continuing education; requirements; fees.(a) On and after the effective date of this act, no personshall be a medication aide for the purposes of subsection (i) of K.S.A.65-1124 and amendments thereto unless such person completes a program ofcontinuing education at least every two years, as established by the secretary.The secretary by duly adopted rules and regulations shall establish therequirements for such a program as soon as possible after the effective dateof this act. The secretary shall update the certificate of a medicationaide upon the completion by such medication aide of any continuing educationprogram as provided in this section. The secretary shall determine a feeby rules and regulations in an amount sufficient to cover the costs of thedepartment to administer the provisions of this act.
