60-204. Process, generally.The methods of serving process as set forth in article 3 of this chaptershall constitute sufficient service of process in all civil actions andspecial proceedings, but they shall be alternative to, and not inrestriction of different methods specifically provided by law. In anymethod of serving process, substantial compliance therewith shall effectvalid service of process if the court finds that, notwithstanding someirregularity or omission, the party served was made aware that an action orproceeding was pending in a specified court in which his or her person, status orproperty were subject to being affected.
