58-3078. Residential real estate sales contract;required language; information regarding registration of persons convicted ofcrimes.(a) On and after July 1, 2008, each contract for the sale ofresidential real estate shall contain as part of such contract the followinglanguage:
"Kansas law requires persons who are convicted of certain crimes, includingcertain sexually violent crimes, to register with the sheriff of the county inwhich they reside. If you, as the buyer, desire information regarding thoseregistrants, you may find information on the homepage of the Kansas Bureau ofInvestigation (KBI) at http://www.Kansas.gov/kbi or by contacting thelocal sheriff's office."
(b) The provisions of this section shall be a part of and supplemental totheKansas real estate brokers' and salespersons' license act.
