58-2238. Escheats of alien's property to state forfeited, when.Where real estate in this state might be claimed to have escheatedto the state by reason of the heirs at law of a citizen of the UnitedStates, who died intestate owning such land, being aliens and incapable ofinheriting, which land has heretofore been conveyed by such alien heir orheirs, to a citizen of the United States for a valuable consideration, andhas been occupied in reliance upon said conveyance, without an adverseclaim or title or right thereto having been asserted by the state for morethan twenty-five years subsequent to such conveyance, the title andpossession of such grantee, or his or her heirs or assigns, shall never bequestioned in any manner, by or on behalf of the state of Kansas, and thestate shall be deemed to have forever forfeited all title or right it mayhave ever had thereto.
