55-183. Rules and regulations; publication; fees, taxes and othercharges required to be fixed by rules and regulations.(a) Whenever the corporation commission is authorized or directed bythis act, or by any of the acts contained in chapter 55 of the KansasStatutes Annotated, to adopt rules and regulations, any rules andregulations so adopted shall be published by the commission and madeavailable to the public without charge. The commission shall maintain thepublication in a current condition either by a published supplementthereto or, whenever supplementation is impractical due to the cost orusefulness thereof, by republishing all of such rules and regulations ineffect. In addition, the commission is hereby directed to comply with theprovisions of K.S.A. 77-415 et seq., and amendments thereto,with respect to any such rule and regulation.
(b) Whenever the commission is authorized or directed by this act,or by any of the acts contained in chapter 55 of the Kansas StatutesAnnotated, to levy, assess, tax or otherwise fix or determine any fee,tax, charge or other payment of money to the commission or to the stateof Kansas, such authority or directive shall be exercised or compliedwith by the adoption of a rule and regulation.
