Article 7.--FAIR CREDIT REPORTING

      50-711.   Charges for certain disclosures.A consumer reporting agency shall make all disclosures pursuant toK.S.A. 50-708 and furnish all consumer reports pursuant to K.S.A. 50-710(d)without charge to the consumer if, within thirty (30) days after receiptby such consumer of a notification pursuant to K.S.A. 50-714or notification from a debt collection agency affiliated withsuch consumer reporting agency stating that the consumer's credit ratingmay be or has been adversely affected, the consumer makes a request underK.S.A. 50-708 or 50-710(d). Otherwise, the consumerreporting agency may impose a reasonable charge on the consumer for makingdisclosure to such consumer pursuant to K.S.A. 50-708, the chargefor which shall be indicated to the consumer prior to making disclosure;and for furnishing notifications, statements, summaries, or codificationsto persons designated by the consumer pursuant to K.S.A. 50-710(d),the charge for which shall be indicated to the consumer prior tofurnishing such information and shall not exceed the charge that theconsumer reporting agency would impose on each designated recipient for aconsumer report except that no charge may be made for notifying suchpersons of the deletion of information which is found to be inaccurate orwhich can no longer be verified.
