50-671. Definitions.As used in this act:
(a) "Consumer" means an actual orprospective purchaser, lessee, or recipient of consumer goods or servicesbought primarily for use for personal, family, or household purposes.
(b) "Telemarketer" means any person or organization who, individually orthrough salespersons, initiates the sale, lease, or rental of consumer goods orservices, or offers gifts or prizes with the intent to sell, lease or rentconsumer goods or services by telephonic means or by postcard or other writtennotice sent through the mail in which the goods and services and all thematerial terms of the transaction, including price and any fees or handling,shipping or delivery charges, are not fully described and which requests thatthe consumer contact the seller to initiate the transaction. Such definitionshall not be considered to include any not-for-profit or charitableorganization exempt from federal income taxation pursuant to section 501(c)(3)of the internal revenue code of 1986.
(c) "Credit card issuer" means any person or organization who issues acredit card, or the agent of such person with respect to such card.
