48-218. Use and storage of property.No officer or member of the Kansas national guard having property incharge shall loan for private use, or permit to be used for any other thanthe legitimate purpose intended, any public property that the officer may beresponsible for to the state. All property issued to a brigade, regimental,battalion or company commander, or to any band, corps, or auxiliary squad,or to any military organization whatever, when not in legitimate use, shallbe carefully stored and protected from waste, theft, loss, or injury. Noofficer or enlisted person of the Kansas national guard shall assume anyrights by reason of such membership that are not in accord with theforegoing instructions.
