47-632. Animals affected with tuberculosis; condemning of animal andquarantine of herd; sale of animal; payment to owner.Whenever the livestock commissioner shall have decided that anydomestic animal is affected with tuberculosis he or she shall at once condemnsaid animal and quarantine the herd wherein it is found. Whereupon, theowner shall sell such diseased animal for immediate slaughter understate or federal inspection, subject to a post-mortem examination underthe direction of the livestock commissioner. Said owner shallbe indemnified by the state livestock commissioner, from fundsappropriated therefor, in an amount equal toone hundred dollars ($100) for each condemned grade bovine animal and twohundred dollars ($200) for each registered bovine animal.
