47-621. Duties of railway corporations; penalty.That it shall be the duty of the railway corporations doing business inthis state to cleanse and disinfect the cars, stockyards and receiving pensused by them in transporting stock in this state at such times and placesas the commissioner may designate, whenever in the opinion of thecommissioner any such order may be necessary, to prevent the spread ofinfectious or contagious disease. And such corporation violating any of theprovisions of this section shall be liable to a penalty of five hundreddollars for each violation, to be recovered in a civil action to beprosecuted under the direction of the attorney general in the name of thestate of Kansas.
