46-406. Function of commission.It shall be the function of this commission:
(a) To carry forward the participation of this state as a member of thecouncil of state governments;
(b) to carry forward the participation of this state as a member of thenational conference of state legislatures;
(c) to encourage and assist the legislative, executive, administrativeand judicial officials and employees of this state to develop and maintainfriendly contact by correspondence, by conference, and otherwise, withofficials and employees of the other states, of the federal government, andof local units of government; and
(d) to endeavor to advance cooperation between this state and otherunits of government whenever it seems advisable to do so by formulatingproposals for, and by facilitating: (1) The adoption of compacts; (2) theenactment of uniform or reciprocal statutes; (3) the adoption of uniform orreciprocal administrative rules and regulations; (4) the informalcooperation of governmental offices with one another; (5) the personalcooperation of government officials and employees with one another,individually; (6) the interchange and clearance of research andinformation, and (7) any other suitable process.
