Chapter 40.--INSURANCE
Article 12.--MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANIES OTHER THAN LIFE

      40-1210.   Foreign mutual insurance companies; paid-up capital andsurplus requirements.Any such mutual insurance company organized under the laws of any othercountry, state or territory, having a surplus and deposit equalto that required of adomestic company writing the same kind of business and havingcomplied with the other requirements of this code, shall be authorized totransact business in this state.

      No provision of this act shall require insurance companies doing businessin this state on January 1, 1969, which have subsequently become authorizedto transact business in accordance with a different article of chapter 40of the Kansas Statutes Annotated to comply with the surplus and depositrequirements of this act until May 1, 1994.
