40-102. Insurance department; creation; commissionerof insurance, dutiesand salary.There is hereby established a department to be known as the insurancedepartment, which shall havea chief officer entitled the commissioner of insurance who shall receive,except as otherwiseprovided in K.S.A. 75-3111a and amendments thereto, a salary at a biweekly payrate of$3,307.81, and such officer shall be charged with the administration of alllaws relating to insurance,insurance companies and fraternal benefit societies doing business in thisstate, and all other dutieswhich are or may be imposed upon such officer by law.
